What the heck is going on?
Call it a game... call it a scavenger hunt... call it an integrated word of mouth initiative (okay... most of you probably won't call it that). Whatever you call it, it's the signal of something new starting at The Warehouse Theatre. Instead of just announcing our season, we're going to invite you to discover it with us. Every day between April 9 and May 10, we will post a clue on http://unexpected.blogsome.com.
It'll be up to you to decipher the clue and try to guess all six shows in the season as well as the two Wooden O shows. Clues may be about titles, playwrights, characters, subject matter or even inspiration. You can leave comments to help (or hinder) your fellow players on the blog. Everyone who submits a correct list of all six shows to unexpectedtheatre@gmail.com will receive a prize. And one lucky winner will receive the grand prize which is... wait for it... 2 SEASON TICKETS to THE WAREHOUSE THEATRE 2007-2008 MAIN STAGE SEASON!
The whole thing culminates in a Season Preview Party on Friday, May 11th at 8:00pm. It's food, it's beverages, it's a party, it's a trailer for next season performed by some of your favorite local actors, it's fun and it's FREE!
Fine Print: Warehouse Theatre staff or board members and their families are not eligible to win... but still welcome to play! Guesses and ideas and conversation may be left as comments on the blog (comments will be filtered for content - no obscenities or solicitation, please!), but official entries must be a list of all 6 shows for the 07-08 season in email form to unexpectedtheatre@gmail.com submitted by noon EST on May 11th. The grand prize winner will be announced at the Season Preview Party on Friday, May 11th at 8:00pm. The winner does not need to be present to win.
